Role Mission:

Contribute to sustainable business development & protection of Danone assets and license to operate through building Danone and its brands reputation, ensuring compliance with regulations, Danone guidelines and policies in a competitive way and driving company position as a credible leader in the field of alimentation in Romania. Ensuring their application within Danone and by third parties.



Core Regulatory processes and routines

  • Implement the Regulatory Roadmap in a competitive way for  respective BU;
  • Ensure implementation of specific Regulatory processes in a compliant and ethical way:
    • Labelling and artworks validation;
    • Communication and claims validation;
    • Draft risk assessments, under supervision of direct manager;
    • Prepare product notification documentation;
    • Relevant processes covered by the General Secretary Core Model.
  • Implement the Regulatory strategy in line with CBU objectives;
  • Ensure Regulatory Watch and define impacts of new regulation projects;
  • Ensure comprehensive and on-going knowledge of emerging trends and subjects with potential impact on business objectives for:
    • Product / Food Law & Regulations (Composition, Registration, Labelling);
    • Consumer, Advertising Law & Regulations (Claims, benefits, promotion).
  • Support business and third partners by providing and leveraging regulatory knowledge, as needed;
  • Support business in discussions, consultations with regulatory authorities, competitors or other stakeholders, after alignment with direct manager;
  • Provide regulatory affairs trainings for different internal and external stakeholders in dependence of regulatory aspects;
  • Provide and obtain from WBU / Company regulatory intelligence related to business objectives.


Support Food Safety team in terms of:

  • Monitoring: Compile, assess and communicate the applicable food safety laws and regulations;
  • Providing expertise to Q&FS, local and central teams on regulatory topics (new developments of products and packaging, specifications, incidents and crises, etc.), as needed;
  • Support the implementation of the Company guidelines, positions and directives by carrying out the assessment of the applicable food safety laws and regulations.

About you


  • University degree in Life Sciences / Food / Legal / Nutrition sciences;
  • Regulatory activities management experience & Regulatory expertise;
  • Functional competencies: Product Law & regulations; Science knowledge; Ethic communication principles;
  • Ability to prioritize and focus, delivers action plan with pragmatism;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills;
  • Internal and external impact and influence;
  • Ability to manage complex and sensitive context with all levels of the organization;
  • Fluent in  English (oral and written).
