Senior Analyst, Sales Finance & Planning - ABSF Division

About the job

SF&P collaborates regularly with teams across the company (especially Sales, Demand Planning, Revenue Growth Management, Business Unit Finance, and Category Commercial) to ensure Danone achieves its growth and profitability goals. As a member of our team, you will play an active role in achieving our objectives by driving data into business intelligence, managing the financial execution of the business plan, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve company strategy and the strategic priorities for the customers we support. ABSF includes Albertsons and Safeway banners. This position may be based in White Plains, NY or Louisville, CO.  

In this role, you will:

  • Be a key contributor to financial planning decisions and processes for the ABSF Division.
  • Manage, refresh and publish key planning and financial status reports, including P&Ls, trade plans, event status reports, and others that track progress against enterprise KPIs. Use those reports to recommend adjustments and enable cross-functional partners to take appropriate actions when necessary.
  • Be the primary conduit for aligning sales team volume forecasts with demand planning teams.
  • Assist with the development of sales and promotion plans that support different retailer strategies, including “EDLP” & “High / Low.”
  • Support the financial planning cycle, including monthly closes, annual planning, and early detection and quantification of risks and opportunities
  • Support sales planning, including pre-auditing and approving events in Kantar XTEL, assisting with audits, and ensuring the accuracy of trade plans over time
  • Influence and recommend changes to our ways of working to streamline information flow, efficiency of communication, and improve our “return on energy.”
  • Ad-hoc customer analysis and projects across divisions as needed

The salary range for this position is $85k-95k USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.  Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. About you

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or another related field.
  • You have 2-4 years of experience in finance or sales planning in the CPG industry
  • You are adept at the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, as well as other data tools like Power BI, Power Query, and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience with financial and sales planning tools like Tagetik & Kantar XTEL is a plus
  • You are a strong cross functional collaborator; you tailor data and messages to different kinds of audiences and know how to deliver information in a way that enables recipients to quickly understand key points
  • You’re an effective interpersonal communicator
