Our Procurement team finds strategic approaches to procuring key resources for Danone like milk, water and plastic. As a part of this team, you will work with colleagues to find suppliers and resources that fit with our business goals, promote a circular economy and support Danone’s One Planet, One Health vision. We are currently looking to hire a Senior Procurement Manager, Specialty Ingredients based in Broomfield, CO! 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • 3 main levers of value creation

• Enabling Growth: Design to superior value, Partner for growth (innovation), SRM, Security of supply

• End to end efficiency: COGS and CASH efficiency, Simplification & Optimization, BCP, MRM and Indirect FX management

• Planet and Danone Impact Journey: Sustainability sourced ingredients.

  • You will be a key part of Danone’s North American Specialty Ingredients Team and the Cycles and Procurement lead for Danone’s Follow Your Heart Brand.

 

  • You will drive Ingredient and Market Management:
    • Develop and maintain in-depth category knowledge for all ingredients sourced for the Follow Your Heart business.
    • Identify, Manage and Lead key strategic initiatives (Cost Savings, Sustainability, Reformulation/ Optimization/ Simplification).
    • Assess, recommend and implement a go to market strategy for FYH Brand’s ingredients portfolio, taking into account synergies with Danone’s ingredients categories.
    • Manage and Support Regionally and Globally lead initiatives in conjunction with cross functional peers.
    • Build, launch, and execute regional RFQ’s for key categories
        
  • You will develop, validate and activation Regional strategy
    • Co-develop category sourcing strategies in alignment with category managers
    • Maintain connection with internal stakeholders such as R&I, Operations, Quality, Marketing to ensure regional business needs are being met
       
  • You will unlock and drive Supplier Relationship and Performance Management:
    • Manage and lead the NORAM supply network for respective categories
    • Identify, build, and develop Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with local and global suppliers, which should be in line with objectives set by the central procurement team.  This includes setting and tracking performance objectives, scheduling annual business reviews, and delivering on innovation targets.
    • Develop and enhance SRM policy and governance across all ingredient categories in alignment with Category Managers.

 

  • You will ensure Supply Security:
    • Ensure the delivery of materials to our manufacturing plants
    • Identify and Implement Business Contingency Plan (BCP) for critical materials
    • Assess best market strategy for business continuity (direct or indirect sourcing)
    • Implement Service Level Agreements with suppliers: On Time in Full (OTIF), etc.

 

  • You will own Category Reporting and Financials:
    • Prepare Annual Budget, Price lists, and Material Variance Analysis
    • Develop and implement productivity projects for respective categories
    • Work with Procurement Finance to monitor and track productivity, cash flow, risks, and opportunities on an ongoing basis

 

  • You will be a driver of Specialty Ingredients Sustainability
    • Co-lead and implement sustainable sourcing practices and tracking across specialty ingredients categories in alignment with sustainability team.  
    • Share learnings across categories to enable enhance focus on sustainability across specialty ingredients.

 

  • You will identify opportunities for Simplification and Portfolio Optimization
    • Partner with stakeholders to identify and implement new opportunities to simplify or optimize the FYH ingredient portfolio
    • Align with category leads and R&I on simplification priorities.
    • Develop and implement governance model to ensure continued long-term success of ingredient portfolio simplification.

  • You will travel up to 25% or as needed

 

The base compensation range for this position is $109,000-164,000 commensurate with experience. About you

  • You will have a bachelor’s degree in business, food science, finance, or engineering. (Masters Degree preferred)
  • You will have 8+ years experience related in sourcing and supplier development, or related supply chain experience, with at least 3 years of experience in Ingredients categories.
  • You will have a passion for excellence and a growth mindset

  • You will have strong working knowledge of procurement best practices
