Role Purpose:

The Nutricia Care Tissue Viability Nurse will be responsible for ensuring the provision of wound care support services to Nutricia Care partner nursing homes on their allocated territory in line with the Nutricia Care Business Strategy. This role covers the Leinster region.

 

Key Activities:

  • To provide holistic patient centred wound care to residents in our partner nursing homes and promote best practice in terms of wound care and prevention of prevalent wounds within the nursing home setting.
  • To triage all referrals in the allocated territory and ensure that residents are reviewed within a clinically appropriate timeline
  • Liaise with territory partners to manage relationships with key stakeholders and HCPs in Nutricia Care nursing homes in the region.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop support materials and resources for HCPs caring for patients with various types of wounds.
  • To be knowledgeable on the role of Nutrition in the wound healing process, and to be able to provide advice on the correct use of Cubitan as part of a wound care plan (training will be provided). To liaise with the Nutricia Care Dietetic team to ensure residents at high risk of malnutrition are managed appropriately.

 

This is a fixed term contract ( mat leave cover) expected to end in June 2026. 

 

About you

We would like you to demonstrate your following key skills:

  • A nursing qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  • A postgraduate qualification in Wound Management and Tissue Viability
  • Strong time management, organisational and planning skills.
  • A teamwork approach and an ability to foster collaboration across functions as well as within the team.
  • The ability to establish trust and credibility with health care professionals.
  • A positive, future-oriented perspective, challenging established paradigms and driving for action.

This is a field based role and so a driving licence is essential. You must be comfortable with regular driving across Leinster to see patients - and to be considered for this role you must live in the Leinster region, or be able to relocate there for this role. You will also be working from home assessing wounds remotely via the Nutricia Telehealth portal. 

 

We'll provide a competitive salary, with a company car and fuel card. We'll also provide a lunch allowance when you're in the field, NMBI & INMO registration fees are covered and a generous allowance for CPD relevant to the role
