About the job

The role of the Validation Technician is to support validation activities on site including qualification, validation and revalidation of manufacturing processes. It is key for this position to understand the purpose of validation and to be able to support colleagues in other departments realise the validation requirements in their areas. It is therefore important to develop a good understanding of other departments to ensure appropriate support is provided and information is owned and shared in the relevant way.

 

Success in this role will be demonstrated by supporting the successful implementation of a site validation masterplan, in particular the ongoing collation, assessment and periodic reporting of operational monitoring data to verify that the site is performing consistently, in line with the highest quality standards. This role will also be expected to support with the identification of trends in data, which could help to predict changes in performance and enable control measures to be implemented to prevent any food safety issues.

Accountability:

  • Support validation activities in line with the site validation masterplan.
  • Support the generation, execution and population of validation protocols in collaboration with relevant process and area experts.
  • Periodic assessment and reporting of operational monitoring data to identify trends and opportunities to improve operational controls and guarantee optimum quality product.
  • Support the Food Safety team, quality systems & technical investigations e.g. Corrective Action Report (CAR) & Problem-Solving Groups (PSG) to ensure thorough investigation and root cause identification.
  • Support Change Control and SOP creation to ensure relevant controls are in place to guarantee consistent performance in line with the highest quality standards.
  • Support audits to demonstrate the validation status for all site processes.
  • Liaising with internal departments to understand the site operations and provide validation support as required.
  • Maintain awareness of best practices with regards to validation, operational and quality standards through structured and task-based training.
