About the job

We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager for our Jacksonville, FL facility. In this role, you will join the plant leadership team and be responsible for supporting all strategic, operational, and policy-related aspects of the plant, with a focus on safety, quality, performance, management, and organizational objectives. You will act as the primary point of contact for all capital projects within the plant, overseeing technical execution, timeline management, and financial oversight for each project.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project execution for all current Processing, Packaging, Building and Utility projects
  • Work with cross functional plant leadership team to align on project priorities
  • Create technical specifications, preliminary budgets and project justification for new projects
  • Work with CAPEX analyst and plant controller to manage the plant’s capital forecast and budget
  • Coordinate and lead multi-functional teams
  • Create, design and evaluate initial call for tender documents
  • Work with Regional Engineering teams during bidding processes and technical alignment
  • Work with the CAPEX procurement team to align on priorities and contract negotiations
  • Edit and advise and implement Danone’s Standards
  • Serve as a technical and leadership resource for Danone initiatives
  • Build capabilities within engineering team
  • Occasional project specific travel required

About you

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience and working knowledge in:
    • Integrated automation and controls technology
    • High speed packaging systems design
    • Dairy process engineering and PMO, 3A standards a plus
    • Manufacturing plant utility systems
  • Must be organized and self-disciplined to accommodate the management of concurrent projects
  • Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend or late shifts, during installation/startup periods

Experience and Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Science or Mathematics from an accredited College or University or equivalent degree / experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience
    • 5 years of relevant Engineering experience required, preferably in CPG beverage/food manufacturing
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification(s) a plus
  • Project Management, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD
