About the job
This is a full-time on-site role for a R&I Director in Microbiology at the Global Danone Research & Innovation Centre in the Paris area. Main objective is to drive the R&I Microbiome and Biotics strategy and innovation in microbiology science in close alignment with teams at different geographical locations (Utrecht, Shanghai, Singapore) and support growth of all categories bringing credibility to the microbiology and biotics-for-health programs of Danone. The person should be close to industry trends, scientific breakthroughs, and regulatory developments related to biotics and gut microbiome. Moderating and extending the external scientific network will be an important priority, managing teams in different geographies, collaborate with cross-functional teams and external experts at high scientific level. fostering collaborations with external partners and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
About you
Qualifications
- Hold a PhD in biology, microbiology, biotechnology or related field
- Broad microbiology expertise; physiology, molecular biology and ecology
- Knowledge in the field of Gut Microbiology and Biotics
- Nutrition and Health expertise
- Have 15+ years in R&I and/or applied sciences
- Experience in leading diverse research teams
- Skilled in internal and external networking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Experience with translational and applied science
- Exhibit agility, strategic thinking and business acumen
- Preferably a track record in product concept design in a commercial environment
