About the job

We are seeking a CBM Broker Wholesale – West Region to drive sales strategies to grow Danone business at assigned customer or within categories at assigned customer.  Be the key touch-point with the broker partner across assigned territory to support the sell-in of Danone products. Understand customer / broker business needs and build short and long-term strategies that support those customer goals while achieving company sales targets and financial expectations.  Support the development of customer/category plans in coordination with broker partners to advance the accessibility, availability, and activations in support of our portfolio.  Lead and coordinate cross-functional company efforts with brokers / customers (e.g., bring in category, shopper marketing, customer service, etc.) in order to accomplish customer plan.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and execute the customer plan to grow the business
    • Coordinate selling processes for the assigned territory for broker/customer/channel/category to close core voids and grow net sales
    • Gain a deep understanding of customer needs and priorities within covered categories (e.g., their KPIs: volume, distribution, category goals, etc.)
    • Deliver on ad hoc requests for additional sales needs regarding data pulls, presentation development, etc.
    • Support the improvement of forecasting through development and maintenance of monthly customer forecast templates (trade and volume templates)
    • Utilize syndicated, panel, or customer data to analyze the business, understand business trends, and provide a point of view on solutions
    • Track account-level performance and provide Broker or KAM with adjustment recommendations to manage trade plans
  • Enhance relationship with Broker, Customer, and Danone
    • Manage Acosta Sales Business Managers, Customer Managers and Business Managers Assistants on inputting sales plans, contracts, and promotional volumes into Kantar trade management system across all categories
    • Leverage internal resources (category leadership, customer planning, shopper marketing, etc.) to drive success at customer
    • Maintain ultimate responsibility for delivering expected trade spend (total customer plan) for each promo into trade management system
    • Execute annual calendar visits at customer with internal and external leadership
    • Manage Acosta Business Manager Assistants that own audit compliance at +95% accuracy
  • Support broker sales teams with administrative tasks
    • Review POs to ensure fill rate and on-time delivery of Danone products
    • Maintaining communication with internal supply chain/customer solutions stakeholders, customer supply chain contacts and/or buyers on fill rate and adjustments to POs
    • Provide support on contract development and new item form generation
    • Ensure deal actualization process
    • Assist with customer authorization grids
    • Drives collaboration with Acosta and deductions team for deduction resolution
  • Provide Divisional Leadership with Quarterly updates
    • Utilize customer data to monitor Year over Year changes in volume shipments
    • Summarize cause of change for key pack groups and retailers
    • Update team on changes to trade/promotional plan

 

The salary range for this position is $100k-145k USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.  Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4 year business degree
  • 5+ years customer facing sales experience
  • Strong organization skills
  • Understanding of trade systems/deduction management
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong, proven potential leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed (~15%)

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence others to achieve goals
