About the job

The Procurement Operations Manager, Plastics is part of the North America One Direct team. The Main activities for this role is to support procurement related activities and work closely in collaboration with the category director and buyers.
The position is based in either Louisville, CO, or White Plains, NY.

 

Objectives of the role:

  • Support category RFP's and bid analysis working alongside local and global category buyers.
  • Hold expertise in the tools and processes which contribute to local procurement operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain continuous improvement SOP’s across all functional tools and cross functional stakeholders.
  • Manage commercial term records & support accurate reflection of said terms in SAP.
  • Guide & manage new material suppliers through the proper vendor on-boarding steps at Danone.
  • Create Indirect POs for procurement related activity and manage their lifecycle.
  • Maintain supplier inventory records to enhance supply chain visibility.
  • Support buyers with timely reaction on contract balancing needs and other analytical needs.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting of key KPIs and supplier scorecards
  • Active participant in sustainability initiatives related to the categories managed.
  • Support material planning escalations and ensure the chain is secured within a dynamic global supply chain environment.
  • Work cross-functionally with Global, Project Management, R&I, Quality Assurance,
  • Regulatory/Legal, Planning, Finance, and Brand/Marketing
  • Collaborate across other direct material categories to enable opportunities that can deliver innovation and efficiency.

 

The salary range for this position is $79,000 – $114,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.  Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. About you

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

You will have 3+ years of work experience in Procurement or Supply Chain, FMCG experience a plus
You will have strong analytical skills
You will be tenacious & strong at building relationships
You will be agile & flexible, and thrive with ambiguity
You will be fluent in English; French is a plus, but not mandatory
You will ideally have plastic or packaging sourcing experience

Strong communication skills with business background
Proven skills in both written and verbal communication, influencing and stakeholder management
Ability to perform within a complex and "fast-paced" environment
Team player, pragmatic, and accountable
Strong interpersonal skills
High proficiency in Microsoft applications with particular focus on Excel and PowerPoint
