To lead and align Danone’s Public Affairs strategy in MYSG (Malaysia & Singapore) while overseeing sustainability efforts both locally in MYSG and regionally across Southeast Asia (SEA). This role will shape external engagement, advocate Danone’s positions on public issues, and drive meaningful, measurable sustainability impact aligned with Danone’s One Planet One Health agenda. 

 

A. Public Affairs – MYSG

  • Identify, assess, and address public policy risks and opportunities.
  • Build and implement stakeholder engagement strategies with government bodies, NGOs, scientific leaders, and trade associations.
  • Lead Danone’s representation and influence in key industry and public forums.
  • Support the Country Head and CODI of MYSG with public affairs positioning and engagement.
  • Maintain alignment with Danone’s global "One Voice" advocacy framework.
  • Coordinate Danone’s representation in industry associations and regulatory dialogues.

 

B. Sustainability – MYSG

  • Lead the development and execution of local sustainability initiatives in MYSG.
  • Ensure alignment with national regulatory expectations and community needs.
  • Design and manage projects that address social, health, or environmental challenges within the local context.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, NGOs, and government stakeholders to deliver measurable community impact.
  • Monitor, track, and report on the effectiveness of local programs and partnerships.
  • Serve as a key contact point for MYSG sustainability-related matters and public-private partnerships.

 

C. Sustainability – SEA Cluster

  • Lead the Danone Way roadmap and coordinate B-Corp assessment and progress across SEA.
  • Develop and scale sustainability programs that address health, social, and environmental priorities at the regional level.
  • Engage with NGOs, government partners, and communities to co-create impactful programs.
  • Monitor and report on execution of One Planet One Health (OPOH) projects across the region.
  • Align sustainability initiatives with local government priorities and Danone’s regional commitments.
  • Ensure governance, funding management, and project tracking across the cluster.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Political Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • 12–15 years in Public Affairs, Government Relations, CSR, or Sustainability roles; FMCG experience preferred.
  • Strong network and experience engaging MYSG and SEA government bodies (e.g., MOH, MOT, MOF, Halal agencies).
  • Experience in stakeholder mapping, policy advocacy, and external influence strategies.
  • Strong understanding of community development and environmental sustainability programs.
  • Track record in leading high-impact projects and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
  • Familiarity with certification frameworks such as B-Corp and sustainability assessments.
  • Strong leadership, influence, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with day-to-day execution.
  • Regional experience working across SEA countries.
  • Proven project management and stakeholder engagement expertise.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • NGO, government, or regulatory body collaboration experience is essential.
