At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.   We are currently looking to hire a WMS Specialist based in Minster, OH!  

 

In this role, you will be responsible for: 

Supporting Production, Flow, and Quality management of the facility through raw materials verification, raw and finished good material holds, material losses, inventory information, working with the line performance reporting models, line scheduling adjustments and other data base entries.  The WMS Specialist reports to the WMS Scheduling Supervisor.

 

Specific Job Duties & Tasks:

  • Assist packaging and warehouse in scrapping out defective materials in the system and place on hold when needed
  • Correct/clear Guardian, shipping and receiving IDOCs
  • Perform physical counts of raw materials for inventory control (as needed)
  • Confirm accuracy and correct discrepancies found in batch reporting validating finished goods and raw material losses
  • Correct finished goods declarations
  • Confirm material availability and location for scheduled production through SAP and Korber
  • Perform month end reconciliation, includes Raws and Packs Analysis
  • Become an expert on the Korber system and resource for the plant
  • COGI corrections
  • Troubleshoot WMS issues to eliminate downtime to the line
  • Confirm accuracy of daily WMS batch reports.
  • Validate pallets produced per production run & raw material usages/losses
  • Run 24hr. reporting & input results of line PE/OE/PR/Technical Efficiency
  • DanIMS and Downtime Tracking Data Entry
  • Daily Variance/Plant Service Level (PSL) Report
  • Product traceability and plant audit support
  • Other duties as assigned

About you

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge
    • Strong computer skills needed including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and multiple scheduling software programs (i.e. WMS and SAP)
    • Complete monthly computer-based training as needed
  • Skills
    • Exceptional verbal/written communication skills including ability to write reports, and standard operating procedures
    • The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
    • Leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required to interact with all levels of plant personnel.
    • The ability to stay organized while being adaptable and flexible
  • Abilities
    • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
    • Ability to take multiple requests in a fast-paced environment and prioritize completion.
    • Flexibility with schedule and ability to assist in various projects and improvement activities

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field (preferred)
  • Two to three years of experience in inventory management, warehouse or distribution environment in lieu of degree (required)
  • Experience in a continuous improvement environment (Lean, TPM, AM, etc.)
