Job Summary:
At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Plant Human Resources Director based in Dallas, Texas!  

 

The Plant Human Resources Director is the senior people leader for the manufacturing site and a key member of the Plant Leadership Team. This role serves as a strategic partner to plant leadership while acting as a visible, trusted point of contact for associates across the site.   The Plant HR Director leads all aspects of Human Resources at the plant, including labor and employee relations, talent strategy, workforce planning, culture and engagement, compliance, and organizational capability building. This leader plays a critical role in enabling Danone’s manufacturing transformation by supporting the adoption of disciplined ways of working and fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.  This role leads a local HR team and partners closely with Corporate HR Centers of Excellence, Operations, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain to deliver strong business and people outcomes.

Strategic People Leadership

  • Serve as a core member of the Plant Leadership Team, partnering with leaders to develop and execute a long-term people strategy aligned to business priorities.
  • Champion Danone’s culture, values, and behaviors, creating an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance work environment.
  • Lead site wide engagement and listening efforts, translating feedback into clear actions that improve employee experience and business results.

Labor & Employee Relations

  • Lead complex employee and labor relations matters, including investigations, grievances, and conflict resolution, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with union representatives (where applicable) and plant stakeholders.
  • Coach leaders to strengthen frontline leadership capability and reduce risk through effective people management

Talent, Capability & Organization

  • Own workforce planning, staffing strategy, succession planning, and leadership development for the plant.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high performing HR team, setting clear expectations and building capability across all HR disciplines.
  • Partner with leaders to build organizational capability and support change initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Change & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the people and change management aspects of Danone’s manufacturing operating system and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Enable disciplined routines, standard work, and leadership behaviors that support sustainable adoption of new ways of working.
  • Use people data and metrics to identify trends, measure progress, and drive targeted improvement actions.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the Plant Human Resources Director is regularly required to:

  • Stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing facility, including production, warehouse, office, and outdoor areas, for extended periods of time
  • Sit intermittently to perform administrative, planning, and reporting functions
  • Use hands and fingers to operate computers, phones, office equipment, and other standard business tools
  • Reach with hands and arms and occasionally bend, stoop, or crouch while observing operations or engaging employees on the production floor
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites, corporate offices or offsite meetings as business needs require.
  • The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move materials such as files, training materials, personal protective equipment, or office supplies. Lifting is generally limited and incidental to the role and does not involve continuous or production level of physical exertion.

Specific sensory abilities required include:

  • Vision, with or without correction, sufficient to review documents, observe working conditions, and monitor compliance
  • Hearing, with or without correction, sufficient to communicate effectively with employees and leaders in both office and manufacturing environments
  • This role requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs. 

Work Environment:

  • This position is based primarily in a manufacturing plant environment and requires regular presence on the production floor. The employee may be exposed to moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, and temperature variations.
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when accessing designated areas of the facility.
  • Work schedules could include nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate.

Ensure adherence to plant standards (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, Daily Direction Setting, Driving Operational Efficiency). As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of related integrated work systems and corresponding pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving Operational Efficiency; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.

About you

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we’re looking for, including both required and preferred criteria:

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or related field required.
  • Master's degree in human resources, Labor Relations, Business, or Organizational Development preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, with significant experience in a manufacturing and/or unionized environment, preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent, preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated expertise in labor relations and employee relations, including investigations, grievances, and contract administration (as applicable).
  • Proven experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior plant leadership, with the ability to influence decisions and outcomes.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR principles, employment law, compliance, policies, and people processes.
  • Experience leading and developing high performing HR teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze people metrics and translate insights into practical, business focused actions.
  • Experience supporting or leading largescale change or transformation initiatives in an operational environment.

Operational Excellence / Transformation Experience:

  • Experience supporting Integrated Work Systems (IWS), Lean, TPM, or similar operational excellence frameworks in manufacturing, required.
  • Ability to lead the people and change management components of transformation, including communication, leader readiness, and sustainment.
  • Experience embedding standard work, routines, and operating rhythms to support consistency and adoption.

Leadership Capabilities:

  • Strong coaching mindset with a track record of developing leaders and teams.
  • Ability to bring clarity and focus to complex situations while balancing people, risk, and business needs.
  • Decisive, fact-based decision maker with strong integrity and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated ability to role model Danone’s values and behaviors.
